Wedding Favours - An Essential Part of a Wedding!
There is one thing in common with weddings and the New Year. Both are a representation of something that is completely new. Just like an individual who makes a firm determination to turn over a new leaf when the clock struck 12, a couple makes an oath that cannot be broken by man when the wedding bells toll, each of them walking down a path that needs a lot of compromising on each part.
Sometimes, these compromises are just difficult to make. Sometimes, it may result in plates flying at each direction and involves shouting matches. Sometimes, it may also mean that the husband may need to sleep on the couch below and the wife may need to do household chores every single day. However, before all these sometimes, there was a brief period of bliss and paradise that every married couple would experience.
No, it is not the honeymoon. That is the latter part. It actually starts when the couple walked down the aisle and into the wedding reception. They will begin to savor the sweet taste of their success as they had planned their wedding dinner for ages and through sweats and tears, they are just glad that everyone looks so happy and are dressed for the occasion.
However, the couple are not sure about one thing though. On each table, there is a bunch of wedding favours sitting neatly on the Lady Susan. The night before, they have tirelessly tied each packet of candies with pipe cleaners till blisters starts to pop put like mushrooms after the storm. Nevertheless, the bride caught sight of a cute little boy sucking on a sweet coffee with a bright smile. Breathing a sigh of relief, she turned her attention to her husband.
Wedding favours are no longer uncommon in weddings. From the obligatory fruit cakes, it has gone through evolution to miniature bottles, packet of flower seeds and bottle stoppers. Sugar coated almonds, or more commonly known as Almond Joy, were first used as wedding favours. As time began to move on, so did the demand of wedding favours.
In our times, there is a lot of wedding favours to choose from. One of the most commonly used is candle wedding favours. Be it be round, long, big or small, any candles that are properly wrapped is worthy to be regarded as a wedding favour. The more popular are the ones that have been dubbed in aromatherapy oils. It makes the perfect gift for everyone as all may need to use it at one point of time. Be it a blackout, a romantic night, a soothing bubble bath or just a simple decoration, it is no wonder that candle wedding favours are so famous among married couples today.
Apart from this, coaster wedding favours are also quite a hit. Rather than just a clear transparent piece of glass, coasted glass gives wedding frames, ornaments and wine glasses a unique touch to it. Not only does coasted glass makes it easy for embedding personal messages, its surface would not show any oily handprint marks and thus makes it long lasting and does not need a lot of dusting to show off its charms on the mantelpiece.
Tell me, who does not like shiny things. Silver wedding favours are great as for one, it attracts peoples attention very well. Be it a frame or just a wine opener, once the light hits the surface, your guests would be echoing ooohs and aaahs as these extra lighting pieces shines up the whole room and also lifts up everyones mood at the same time.
A unique wedding favour is the most special of all. Personalized wedding favours give you the option of preparing your own gifts the way you want it. If you want to cut down on your budget, personalized wedding favours are the way to go. All you need is some materials, some stationeries and a lot of creativity. There are no excuses of not knowing where to start. You can even accessorize with a pack of paper napkins. Just embed your name on it and there you have it, your very own personalized wedding favours! Fruits are also great canvas to work upon. Although pears and apples are more commonly used, you can always come up with other fruits. Australians may want to use kiwi fruits instead.
Wedding favours are a part of the wedding ceremony. There is always something for everyone.
